Along with carpet cleaning and upholstery cleaning, we also clean rugs. Rugs can be incredibly hard to clean, because they come in all different types of materials, shapes and sizes. Some rugs are short, while others are long. Some rugs are small, while others are very large. Some rugs can be purchased for a relatively small amount of money, while others are hand made and incredibly expensive. But no mater what type of rug you have, we assure you that we can get it clean!
Area rugs are the most common rug type that we come in to contact with. Usually these rugs can be purchased for relatively cheap prices, and they do a fantastic job as covering large amounts of hard flooring surfaces. Area rugs can come in all different types of materials; being either shag rug style, or short and modern. Because these rugs become a makeshift part of the floor though, they see a lot of foot traffic run across them. This foot traffic can cause a lot of dirt and grime to be built up, and this can be hard to clean. If the rug is small, you may be able to throw it in a washer, but if it’s big, it will need to be hand cleaned.
Persian rugs are the hardest of the different rugs to clean. Because Persian rugs are made by hand and, as such, are one of a kind, it is incredibly important to keep them looking new. Our main goal, when it comes to cleaning this rug type, is to make sure that we do not damage it in any way. Luckily, we have years of experience with cleaning Persian rugs and, because of this, we guarantee that we can clean your rug, without causing any damage to it.
One of the easiest ways to make sure that your rug doesn’t get so dirty that it is ruined is to make sure that the rug is protected. Regular cleaning is a great step in protection, but there are other things we can do. Scotch guarding is a always an option for rugs, and will create a thin barrier that repels most dirt and spills. In addition to this, we can also put down plastic runners that will protect your rug fibers from all manner of things, such as shoes and furniture marks.
Pets and Rugs
We know that most people love pets. Pets bring a warmth to a home, and they cause happiness everywhere they go. However, pets and rugs can be a very incompatible mix. For homes that have incredibly expensive Persian rugs, we recommend moving those rugs to areas that your pets do not have access to. This will ensure that no accidents can happen. For other types of rugs, we recommend short fiber rugs with pet owners, because these types of rugs collect less hair, and are much, much easier to clean. If you have pets, and rugs, we can be your rug cleaning team.
